The Art of Fine Art Reproduction

The care that Monastery Icons puts into each icon reproduction is shown in this video, from original icon to the final laminated and mounted art print.

First, the hand-painted original icon is sent to the specialists whose business it is to make the best in fine art reproductions. They create a high-quality digital file of the original icon. Then the expert photo printer makes prints of the highest quality in the special "Lumina Gold" process.

The prints are then carefully examined to assure the best color fidelity to the original. They are then laminated with UV protective non-glare satin lamination with a durable, washable surface for long-lasting color fidelity, and mounted on wood and key-holed for convenient hanging.

Each icon reproduction is carefully edged and trimmed by hand, and carefully inspected to make sure each one meets the highest quality standards. They are then packed and sent to our distribution center, from which orders are taken by phone, mail, and our website (monasteryicons.com) and then shipped throughout the U.S., and soon throughout the world.

We are grateful that we have such a careful and expert team of exceptional people who have mastered "The Art of Fine Art Reproduction!"
