SOLD The 'Lily of the Mohawks' is venerated as the patron of Native Americans, Canada, and the environment. Holding up a cross while gazing at the viewer, the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Original Icon will bring both inspiration and comfort. Note that this icon was created before Saint Kateri was canonized, and so is titled "Blessed" rather than "Saint." Part of the original icons collection from Monastery Icons, this beautiful, original icon was hand painted by Brother Simeon Davis. Painted on 1/4-inch non-tempered artist's hardboard measuring 11" x 14". The artist used matte fluid acrylics which replicate classic egg tempera. The background is painted yellow gold. The icon has a protective artist's grade acrylic varnish. Purchase or transfer of ownership of this icon does not convey any rights in the work itself. Oak frame not included. Shipping and handling for this icon is $40.00.
